FIFA Women's World Cup 2023: Australia and New Zealand - Dates, Teams, Draw, Venues

The FIFA Women's World Cup 2023 will be hosted in Australia and New Zealand from July 20 to August 20.

It will be the first FIFA Women's World Cup to feature 32 teams competing in eight Groups.


Nigeria is drawn in Group B alongside Australia (co-host), Republic of Ireland and Canada.

  1. When and Where is the FIFA Women's World Cup 2023? This year's tournament will take place in Australia and New Zealand, making it the first ever co-hosted Women's World Cup. The tournament will kick off on July 20 and end on August 20. The final will be played at the Accor Stadium in the city of Sydney. The United States of America (USA) are the defending champions and are looking towards becoming the first team in the history of the competition to win the tournament three times back-to-back.
  2. Who qualified for the FIFA Women's World Cup 2023? This year's tournament is the first to feature 32 teams from six confederations, the previous edition in 2019 witnessed 24 teams compete. The teams in this year's edition include: AFC - Australia (host), China, Japan, Philippines, South Korea, Vietnam; CAF - Nigeria, Morocco, Zambia, South Africa; CONCACAF - Canada, Costa Rica, Haiti, Jamaica, United States (US), Panama; CONMEBOL - Argentina, Brazil, Colombia; OFC - New Zealand (co-host); UEFA - Denmark, England, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland.
